Kuranui College Gymnasium
Greytown, South Wairarapa
"It was an incredibly exciting project to be part of, and a real pleasure working alongside you and your team. The collaboration, commitment, and shared effort made it a rewarding experience from start to finish, and the end result is something to be proud of."
Lourence Geldenhuis - Site Manager, Apollo Projects
As part of the delivery of a new gymnasium for Kuranui College, we were engaged by Apollo Projects to carry out the full civil and external works package for this upgraded education and community facility.
The project involved preparing the site for a new 1,020m² gymnasium, requiring extensive early-stage works and coordination to support the wider construction programme.
Our scope included:
Demolition of existing buildings and structures
Bulk earthworks, including approximately 700m³ of cut and fill
Supply, placement, compaction, and trimming of imported AP65 hardfill
Excavation and construction of footings and ground beams across varying depths and widths
Installation of underground services, including electrical, water, communications, stormwater, and sewer infrastructure, as well as soakpits
Construction of pavements and external areas, including kerbs, nibs, concrete pavements, footpaths, and heavy-duty driveways
Topsoiling and hydroseeding across bulk external areas
Installation of facility security fencing and gates
We’re proud to have contributed to a facility that supports student wellbeing, encourages community use, and provides long-term value for Kuranui College and the wider Greytown community.
