We were engaged by Expedite Projects to deliver staged civil works at Southern Cross Hospital, including a comprehensive carpark regrading programme and a new entrance canopy and lobby upgrade. 

Delivered within a live healthcare environment, the project required careful staging, rigorous quality assurance, and precise coordination around existing underground services to ensure uninterrupted hospital operations and safe access for patients, staff, and visitors.

Carpark Regrading Works:

• Removal and disposal of existing asphalt and concrete pavements

• Bulk excavation, regrading, and preparation for new AP65 and AP40 pavement construction

• Waterproofing treatment and staged 30mm asphalt surfacing

• Gas main exposure, protection, and reinforced concrete capping

• Installation of nib kerbs, dish channels, and edge restraints

• Drainage trenching, sump leads, and service coordination

• Garden reinstatement, topsoiling, and grass berm works

Entrance Canopy & Lobby Works:

• Demolition of existing concrete structures

• Excavation and construction of reinforced concrete footings

• Bulk pavement build-up and aggregate placement

• Aggregate and asphalt reinstatement works

• Construction of kerbing and landscaped interface areas

• Feature exposed aggregate concrete finishes

• Concrete construction for the new drop-off and turnaround area

These works improve circulation, safety, and accessibility across the hospital’s primary arrival zones, strengthening the functionality and presentation of a key healthcare facility.
