We were engaged to deliver the civil works for a new raised pedestrian crossing on a key arterial route in Wainuiomata. 

The crossing was designed to improve pedestrian safety and accessibility in a high-foot-traffic area leading to the marae. This required careful coordination and delivery to minimise disruption to road users and ensure a durable, compliant outcome.

Our scope included:

• Construction of new footpaths

• Installation of tactile pavers for accessibility

• New ducting for upgraded streetlighting infrastructure

• Centre island construction for the raised crossing

• Installation of road signage

• Topsoil and grass seeding to reinstate the surrounding berms

The result is a safer, more accessible connection point for pedestrians and a meaningful infrastructure upgrade in support of the local marae and wider Wainuiomata community.
